Akelarre is in honour of the herbalist women, the healers and midwives, the village festivals in which we light a bonfire and clean the village with lavender (las mañas) as in the old days, and those who extol the value of the misnamed witches in the celebrations that still take place in the dolmens (Elvillar - La Txabola de La Hetxicera).
